Rose Shalloo
Lecturer in Stage Acting
I am Rose Shalloo, an actress and performer with a passion for powerful stories and multifaceted characters. After graduating from the prestigious Musical Theatre Academy (MTA) in London in 2014, I have continuously developed my skills both on and off stage.
I became known for my role as Hannah, a maid at Randall’s, in the film adaptation of *Emma* (2020). I have also appeared in popular British series such as *Call the Midwife* and *Holby City*. However, my heart also belongs to the theater: for example, in 2024, I had the privilege of playing Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's *The Crucible* at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
I have also contributed to innovative theater productions, such as *A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer*, with the celebrated theater group Complicité, which was performed between 2016 and 2018. These projects not only demonstrated my artistic versatility but also deepened my appreciation for the transformative power of the stage.
As an actress, my focus is on making emotions tangible and bringing stories to life – whether on stage, in front of the camera, or as part of an ensemble. For me, the art of acting is not just a profession but a way to connect people worldwide and tell profound stories.
With every project, I seek new challenges to further develop both my craft and myself – while staying true to my passion for the performing arts.
